The Devoted Dad Statement of Faith

1. The Scriptures

We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final rule for faith, life, and godliness.
(2 Tim. 3:16–17; 2 Pet. 1:20–21; Ps. 19:7–11)

2. The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—coequal in power, glory, and majesty.
(Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14)

3. God the Father

We believe God the Father is the sovereign Creator of all things, perfect in holiness, wisdom, justice, and love. He governs all things according to His will.
(Gen. 1:1; Ps. 103:19; Eph. 1:3–6)

4. Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man.
We affirm:

  • His      virgin birth
  • His      sinless life
  • His      miracles
  • His      atoning death on the cross
  • His      bodily resurrection
  • His      ascension into heaven
  • His      future, personal return

Salvation is found in Him alone.
(John 1:1–14; Phil. 2:5–11; 1 Cor. 15:3–4; Acts 4:12)

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates sinners, indwells believers, empowers them for godly living, and equips the church for ministry.
(John 16:8–13; Titus 3:5; Gal. 5:22–25; Acts 1:8)

6. Humanity and Sin

We believe all people are created in the image of God, yet through Adam’s sin the human race fell and became separated from God. Every person is in need of redemption through Christ.
(Gen. 1:26–27; Rom. 3:23; Rom. 5:12–19)

7. Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
Believers are justified, forgiven, born again, and adopted into God’s family through the finished work of Jesus Christ.
(Eph. 2:8–9; Rom. 5:1; John 3:3; Gal. 4:4–7)

8. Marriage, Family, and God’s Design

We believe God created marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman and ordained the family as the foundational unit of human society.
Parents—especially fathers—are called to lovingly lead, teach, and disciple their children in the ways of the Lord.
(Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:4–6; Eph. 5:25–33; Deut. 6:6–7; Eph. 6:4)

9. The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers everywhere.
Its mission is to make disciples, proclaim the Gospel, and live out God’s truth in word and deed.
(Matt. 28:18–20; Acts 2:42–47; Eph. 4:11–16)

10. The Return of Christ and Eternal Destiny

We believe in the personal and victorious return of Jesus Christ.
All people will experience bodily resurrection—believers to eternal life and joy with God, unbelievers to eternal separation from Him.
(John 5:28–29; 1 Thess. 4:13–18; Rev. 20:11–15)

11. Christian Living

We believe every believer is called to love God wholeheartedly, love others sacrificially, pursue holiness, and live out their faith with integrity and courage.
(Matt. 22:37–40; Micah 6:8; 1 Pet. 1:15–16)

12. The Sacredness of Human Life and God’s Design of Male and Female

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. From the moment of conception to natural death, every person possesses inherent dignity, worth, and value. Human life is not an accident of biology but a gift of God, formed with intentionality and purpose.
(Gen. 1:26–27; Ps. 139:13–16; Jer. 1:5)

We believe God created humanity male and female, equal in dignity and value yet distinct in design. These biological realities are good, purposeful, and part of God’s creative order. Human flourishing occurs when we embrace God’s design rather than redefine it.
(Gen. 1:27; Gen. 2:18–24; Matt. 19:4–6)
